<title>Beagle Chasing Labrador Retriever on Top 10 Dog Breeds List</title>
    <link>http://www.dogs-and-dog-advice.com/top-10-dog-breeds.html</link>
<description>&lt;img align=&quot;right&quot; src=&quot;image-files/beagle-top-10-dog-breeds.jpg&quot; title=&quot;Beagle &amp;ndash; Top 10 Dog Breeds&quot; alt=&quot;Beagle&quot; width=&quot;200&quot; height=&quot;144&quot;&gt;For 21 years the Labrador Retriever has remained the most popular American dog breed, while the next 9 positions have been in constant motion.

The big news is that Beagles continue to grow in popularity, moving up again to 3rd place from 4th place in 2010 and 5th in 2006.

Nine out of 10 top 10 breeds from 2010 remained on the list, but Rottweilers displaced Shih Tzus in the number 10 position. Rottweilers have not made the top 10 list since 1999 when they stood at number 8.

The ever popular Golden Retriever regained its 4th place position, moving Yorkshire Terriers to number 5.</description>
